Just because an election date has been set for public consideration of a 20-year, $2.67 billion RTA Next plan, it doesn’t mean the work is done. The Regional Transportation Authority is still meeting with the public to share details of the plan and answer any questions posed.

The proposed plan includes five project improvement elements to ensure we have a safe, reliable, efficient and connected transportation network. The plan will be funded by a half-cent sales tax, if approved by voters next March. Plan elements include:
- Roadway (multimodal) Corridor
- Arterial Reconstruction
- Transit
- Safety, ADA and Active Transportation
- Environmental
The current $2.1 billion RTA plan and tax, approved by Pima County voters in 2006, will sunset on June 30, 2026.
