Pima Association of Governments (PAG) earned two Impact Awards for Excellence in October from the Southern Arizona chapter of the Southern Arizona Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
The annual IMPACT Awards recognize the public relations and communications projects of communications professionals across the greater Tucson region. Judged by professional peers from another state, each entry is judged on its own merits in the areas of research, planning, implementation and evaluation.
This year, one of the awards was presented for PAG’s website redesign, which includes more intuitive navigation through a mega menu and modern design.
The redesigned site also has a custom meeting calendar, embedded YouTube videos for meetings, and an easily searchable document library. The site also improves on accessibility compliance.
PAG also won an award for its campaign last summer for input on the Regional Mobility and Accessibility Plan which is under development.
The Shape Your Transportation Future multimedia campaign for the 2055 RMAP survey included print, broadcast, radio, transit, and social media advertising to reach residents throughout Pima County. More than 4,500 participants completed the survey.
The federally required long-range plan is updated four years and allows PAG to annually secure millions of dollars in federal funding for essential transportation improvements in the region.
The 2024 IMPACT Awards honored 15 organizations with a total of 31 awards.
