Pima Association of Governments and staff from PAG member jurisdictions partnered with teams of community volunteers last October to complete the annual bicycle and pedestrian count in the greater Tucson region.
This annual count helps transportation planners throughout the region by highlighting user patterns, trends and issues. Examples include tracking the percentage of helmet usage and the number of female versus male cyclists, and identifying high-use pedestrian corridors.
Counts were conducted at more than 60 locations across the Tucson metro area. We appreciate all the community volunteer support for helping us complete this project each year.
Check out some of the data collected during the most recent count in this brief video.
