Pima Association of Governments (PAG) has been conducting a transit study to evaluate existing public dial-a-ride operations and determine the feasibility of implementing microtransit service throughout the greater Tucson region.
As part of the study, PAG will hold several public engagement events this week to gather input from transit users and community members about service options developed for Pima County.
PAG invites all residents to attend any of these events and share their experiences and provide input. The schedule of in-person pop-ups and community engagement events is as follows:

- Citizens for Picture Rocks, 6 p.m.
- Picture Rocks Community Center, 5615 N. Sanders Road
March 19, 2025

Microtransit is an innovative transit service alternative used to serve areas that have difficulty accessing or no access to an existing transit service network. Similar to private, on-demand services, such as Uber and Lyft, microtransit users can reserve and pay for trips online and receive same-day service, usually within a 10- to 30-minute window.
Reserving a ride is streamlined by using personal computers or mobile devices, but riders have the option to reserve through a call center. Passengers are typically picked up at their preferred location and taken to their destination (curb-to-curb service). Microtransit trips are often shared with other riders that have destinations within the same service area.
